Quiet location, very easy walk to a supermarket, and extremely cosy place to sleep. 30 minute walk to town or easy taxi ride using Uber or similar local apps (or the taxi rank by McDonalds). There's a great kitchen which helps reduce eating out costs which can be steep in Rovaniemi for a family, and an excellent shower. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property without reservation.

We didn't expect it to be this beautiful, it was an extraordinary experience. There were breathtaking views from the windows and outside in general. We got lucky and saw a family or deer walking right past our window! Everything was clean and tidy, outside there was also snow equipment like boots and clothes of all sizes, sleighs, ski's, ice skates etc. Near the equipment shed there was also a Northern light tower where you are able to get an amazing view of the aurora. There was a community fireplace where you get to meet new people, start a fire and have some food! Overall, I will definitely be going again!

Host was super responsive, and the property was absolutely amazing. So much to do! The cabin was comfortable and easy to access. We saw the northern lights so easily! During the day we tried snowshoeing, watched the dogsleds, cross country skiing, built a fire, end explored the grounds. I wish we had brought sausages to bbq because the bbq house was so cute! We even rented the sauna for an hour for a turn to get warm and jump in the frozen lake I was skeptical at first when the host told us about it but it was a lot of fun and we jumped in 3-4 times. My kids would have loved this and we are plotting a trip back with families.

Es una casa de campo maravillosa y perfectamente equipada. Su ubicación en un pueblo casi sin vecinos y a las orillas de un lago congelado hace que tu estancia sea muy tranquila y especial. Además, hay una barbacoa en el jardín, con la que pudimos disfrutar de una mágica noche bajo las estrellas. El perfecto funcionamiento de la calefacción y de la sauna nos ayudó mucho a superar el frío. El casero es una maravillosa persona que nos ayudó en todo lo que pudo.

La Villa Arctic Light está en Rovaniemi, a 3,8 km de la oficina principal de correos de Santa Claus Village y a 6 km del centro de ciencias Arktikum. This is one of the best houses we have ever rented. It's very comfortable. We felt immediately at home. The house is very modern, has a sauna, two showers... it was our own private wellness temple. While outside, we had temperatures of minus 32 degrees, we felt inside warm and cosy because of the super underfloor heating and the climate concept of the house. The beds are very comfortable. We had a fully equipped kitchen. The owners are very nice and help in every situation.

El lugar donde están las cabañas es de cuento. En un bosque y frente a un lago congelado donde vimos las auroras boreales nuestra primera noche. Tiene todo lo necesario para cocinar y para vivir. Excelente calefacción a pesar de los -28grados que hacía en el exterior. Muy buen wifi. Jaakko fue muy amable y hospitalario.

It was warm inside even when -25C outdoors. Well equipped kitchen, big TV with Netflix. We could watch northers lights directly from terrace.
